This is the most distressing POTW competition for a long time. It makes me feel very old (I am  ). At first I thought I'd vote for number one but then I viewed that lovely photo of the little diesel-mechanical 0-6-0 shunter. We had quite a few of them working around Cambridge station when I was young and I cabbed quite a few of them too. Just checked my Ian Allan "ABC British Railways Locomotives and other motive power" volume but D2024 was not underlined (I never saw it in its prime). Seeing ALL these beautiful machines (and carriages) decaying like this is quite depressing. Number six gets my vote this week.
