Compensation re delayed journey using a combined rail/LU paper ticket

Hi All,

Anyone know whether London Underground / TfL (or whomever is appropriate) will consider a delayed journey refund request when a combined rail/LU paper ticket was used (e.g. Manchester Stns -> Chesham Und) and the delay occurred on the London Underground portion of the journey?

Good question. What was the cause of the delay? It must have been pretty severe to result in over 30 minutes delay.

I don't think they will refund you the whole journey, just the Underground part.

If it was on the Underground rather than Overground then I doubt you'll get more than the cost of a tube journey - they aren't part of ATOC and have different conditions to mainline TOCs. Given that it wasn't recent, then you won't get anything at all as they have a 14-day limit on claims.

Thanks for the link. Looks like refund would have been by Oyster Card only, but also that any claim is now out of time.
