Hi all,
There is a possibility that I will need to commute from Lincoln to Stevenage (where I'd drive to Ware) 3 days a week later in the year. To minimise costs, I'd travel:
Week 1: Wednesday evening, Thursday and Friday
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
And I'd drive the other two journeys. This would mean that I would only have to buy a ticket every other week, which saves a lot of money! I would buy an advance ticket for the journey that isn't covered by the weekly ticket (as it would only cover Wednesday - Tuesday)
The tickets I have found so far are:
Weekly Lincoln - Peterborough (any route): £73.80
Weekly Peterborough - Stevenage (any operator): £94.80
This gives me £168.60 per fortnight, which is ok. Can anyone get any better though, whilst still letting me use the direct VTEC trains?
