Communications failure: no train traffic in The Netherlands

For the second time this year the GSMR system in The Netherlands has failed, thus no communication between drivers and traffic controllers is possible. As a result nearly all trains in the entire country are cancelled and being evacuated!

At the Train Radar hardly any movement is visible.

Comms are now working again, but of course trains are out of position.

Service has resumed after approximately one hour indeed, but as usual with a big disruption its still chaos on the NS network. Lots of NS services are still cancelled and they advise not to travel.

The contrast with the regional operators cannot be greater: they've all resumed normal service at this moment. Even the ones with a more extensive network like Arriva Groningen/Fryslan and Arriva Limburg. Actually I could only find two cancelled Arriva-services despite they're the biggest regional operator with ~170 trains.
