Hi everyone, first time poster here.

I managed to pass the assessments the week before Christmas, and I have my interview booked for this Thursday, to say I'm nervous is an understatement!

I've been trying to do some interview prep before the big day, I just hope I'm covering the right bases.

Has anyone got any tips or words of advice?

Many thanks

Questions like
Describe your current job and what you do day to day
What do you know about this train company
what do you think a commercial guard does
give some examples of how you worked on your own
give some examples when you worked as a team

I've written a 6 page document of all the possible questions and my responses, I need to break it down a bit as its all a bit overwhelming haha.

I'm sure I'll be fine when the day comes, as long as i can keep hold of my nerves

Hi, very best of luck, everything MINI said +

Have you ever worked in a safety role and give an example(s) of when you have had to act on your training

Give examples of when you gone over and above with Customer Service

Have you had a time when you have felt uncomfortable with a situation at work and how did you deal with it, what was the outcome

Have a back story with all the above.
Be confident, write everything down, practise your answers in front of the mirror, bore your friends reciting it in front of them and smash it

Good Luck

I have pinged you a DM.

We all get interview nerves, I have been interviewing for over 15 years and was on the other side recently and I was super nervous.

There is nothing wrong with mentioning how nervous you are as nerves don’t always show to those interviewing. Saying that you are nervous at the start during the welcome/introduction can be a great ice breaker, on a recent interview I had the interviewers and I had a nice friendly chat at the start about how interviews play on nerves, they were very reassuring and relaxed me a bit….. just don’t relax to much that you let your professional guard down.

Hopefully there will be a glass of water for you to buy sometime if you need to think about the question asked, or you can always ask them to repeat the question whilst you consider your answer

That went... okay? I'll just have to see in approximately ten days...
My interview got postponed as one of the managers had covid. I had it earlier this week in the end, I was very nervous, not sure how I got on. Just a waiting game now.

Which station did you apply for?

good luck!
