Can any commercial guards provide me with any assistance in enhancing my application in any way. I have extensive experience in Management and Customer Services in different industries and I'm looking for help so my application doesn't get overlooked again! Thanks!

I think with every application you have to tailor it so your experience meets the person specification and mention almost every aspect of the job requirements.

Hello, I'm not a Commercial Guard. I'm guessing you have seen the openings at both Farnham and Basingstoke so firstly, best of luck. The thing particularly about the SWT application form is that it is limited in the sense that you cannot upload a CV or add any additional information (such as why you think you are suitable for the job) so it literally is list your education and previous jobs. If you want to enhance your application and get through the initial sift, you need to make sure you do well in the Situational Judgement test which is part of the application.

I can't say for certain for SWT but some companies just automatically sift through applicants based on how well they do on the SJT. My point is that don't think because you were rejected last time, you were rejected because of your work history/experience. Also make sure you live within 45 minutes of the location you are applying to.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the SWT application for the Guard/Commercial Guard's position has no space to upload a CV or write any additional information.I think you are just asked about your qualifications and your work history (where you briefly explain your main duties/responsibilities)

I passed the initial sift and the assessment day back in December, as has already been said, main areas are work history and the SJT, alot of the SJT have the answer "I always follow the rules", now I'm not saying this is right but logic told me to answer this everytime as it is a rules and safety based job. TBH I got fed up with waiting for my promised interview so applied for a signaller role and got it, last week they invited me for my interview 9 months later which I turned down.

Congratulations on your Signaller's role! I think that is normal of SWT because from what I have heard and read on here, the entire application process can take about a year so you have to be quite patient when applying for a Guard/Commercial Guard role with SWT.
