The steam loco was a "Class 5 type 4-6-0 'Prince Charles' built by Carland Engineering Livery - blue with white lining."
(Information from "Minature Railways" by Robin Butterell, published by Ian Allan in 1966, I think; at 5 shillings a lot cheaper than the more recent editions of 1998 and 2000!)
