Its apparently been authorised for repair but I'm not sure if any work has commenced on it yet. 56091 is supposedly donating some more parts to help the repairs

As a matter of interest, how do the maintenance staff attend to windscreen wipers with the Ghana grilles in place ? Presume they must be unboltable.

Mustang admit I've wondered similar about how the Egyptians deal with wipers on their "66s", assured they also have the bars on the cab front windows...

Reported on WNXX that 56094 & 56302 have been loaded aboard the heavy lift ship RMS Fraternity at Marchwood, some container flats are also being sent, planned departure date is thought to be today

56078 & 56113 are currently undergoing exam/repair at Colwick, exams/repairs have been authorised for 56090 & 56105 which are to be moved South from Bo'ness possibly by 56049 & 56051 which went North with 6S31 yesterday


Edit : RMS Fraternity sailed in the early hours of this morning initially for Las Palmas

There’s a path this morning from Millerhill to Bo’ness and then another one from
Bo’ness to Carlisle New Yard so I presume this is 56049 and 051 going to collect 090 and 105

Yes, the 5 you mention plus 049 & 051 are all to be used on this years RHTT work. Should be the last time for them.

Probably will work the same two diagrams as last year (Out of Carlisle Yard & Coleham) as the drivers will be trained on them as there was a bit training program last year.
