yeah don't want to tempt fate at the final hurdle, have you had to give your preference of Westbury or Hoo yet?

Hoo is geographically nearer so I did say that would be easier for me, but I told them that I'm open to Westbury. The wife and I have discussed me being away and it doesn't really matter if it's 90mins from home or 180!

I am borderline within the allowable travel distance to Hoo, so may not have to lodge away. My contract does state "site driver" so means I could be asked to report anywhere in the UK, so I guess that may mean I'll be clocking on from home some days and travelling....

Honestly don't care, I just want to get started!

I too was told they'd be in touch with a date having passed through to the second stage.
Never heard a thing from them since despite an email. However good luck to those who have been and were successful.
Does anyone have a phone number for OPC I wouldn't mind knowing what I scored so I can add it to my CV for another FOC application.

I've received confirmation of my medical via email within the last hour. Mine's on Friday afternoon, so they did stick to their before xmas promise!

I received confirmation from Colas yesterday that I passed the medical so looks like I'm all set for the 13th in Crewe. Guess we'll all hear more in the next mad 10 days!

I am finally going to come out from the depths - have got the call today that I passed the medical and I am also due to start on the 13th!

Can't quite believe it, everything really is becoming real now! That first assessment back in Swindon seems an age away now!

In fairness I chased them to confirm the medical result as my current job required confirmation I was leaving on the agreed date.

I was however, verbally given a pass for the medical at the time it was done (with the exception of the D & A).

One of the fourteen, here...

I had my medical on December 10th, had to do a lot of ringing around to find out my results (was told I'd get a yes/no - D&A aside, which was never going to be a problem - on the day, but didn't). Thankfully they rushed them through and I found out the following afternoon, despite the first girl I spoke to insisting they had no records of me or my medical!

I'd definitely ring them tomorrow, but you've passed or you'd not have been sent today's emails, I'm sure of that.

Mine was in Liverpool, and wasn't at a clinic operated by the people Colas used, so I had to wait for the results until they had been passed on.

Colas normally use Express Medicals. Mine was London near Canada Water. They told me I'd passed on the day with just the 3 day wait on D&A.

Will see you all there I suspect. Although I probably won't be in crewe until around 10pm.
