Colas 47s

A pair of Colas liveried Class 47s (47727 & 47749) are the next Limited Edition models from Rail Express. They are being produced by ViTrains and are £160+p&p for the pair, not available separately.

Seem weird that there will be two verison's of the Colas 47 from two diffenernt companys.

Not really, two different models will give modellers alot of choice.

Isn't the Heljan 47 a bit wide? Which should put the 47 a step ahead of the Heljan model.

Tempted by the Colas duffs though, I'll have to wait for the models to land on Rail Express' table first though.

I just posted a topic on the hornby website asking whether anyone was producing them. I got a reply back saying the exact same thing. Limited Edition from rail express and heljan. Im doing work experience with Colas Rail and it would be nice to get one of their locos to run on my layout.
