Coastliner bus in Ascot / wentworth

Just noticed a mass of coastliner buses for the BMW PGA championships in Wentworth. Driving down the M3 towards Fleet I saw a load driving towards the Bagshot exit the other way.

My questions are
1) Where are these stationed overnight? Do they go back to Portsmouth? Are the crew therefore not local? Why dont they put the drivers in a BNB and leave the buses parked in the station at virginia water?
2) if these are take away from the dedicated coastliner route, where are they getting the buses to run those services? If they have spare buses why dont they deploy those for the golf outright?

They will probably be stored locally and drivers ferried home at the end of day.Stagecoach do it with Silverstone

They are the now former Coastliner 700 Scania E400s which have just been displaced on that route by new E400 MMCs. They're being used at Wentworth before they head off to their new homes across the stagecoach fleet. Most of the vehicles will be stabled at other local Stagecoach depots across the south for the duration of the event.

Some are being stabled at Aldershot - usually at the bus station and the railway station car park, although this evening some may be at the depot as some local single deckers have been relegated to the railway station car park instead.

Basingstoke takes some in .They park their buses at the bus station and hire a guard to secure the buses during the night.

Seven of the 10 reg E400 were on Gillmoss Garage. Liverpool last night. They are to be used from Rock Ferry Garage, Birkenhead on service 1 Liverpool to Chester. They are to be refurbished and will replace gold spec E300 on the route which requires extra capacity. There are eighteen of these vehicles (27255-72) and it is assummed that they will stay in the area to upgrade local routes.

Courtesy of Merseyside Dennis Dart 15585/86/88-96/98/99 have now arrived at Gillmoss. There seems to be some debate as to whether or not these buses will go to Rock Ferry or are for service in Liverpool.

The "debatable" aspect appears to have moved on. It now seems certain they wlll run from Gillmoss, but there is now a question over which route(s) they are for. Also, whilst 15597 is expected to join them, it would appear 15587 isn't!

From reports on other websites it seems that Merseyside are sending 61 reg E300 to South in a swap.
