CMP and trainz wont work

Hi!

CMP wont come up! Instead it just keeps showing an error. I've got 2006 and I'm bloody sick of CMP!

Now CMP's not letting me access Trs!

When I open it, a box comes up and says:

Runtime error!

Program: C:\Program Files\Auran\TRS2006\bin\contentmanager.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.

Have you tried the assets.tdx and .bku fix?

It's been a couple of years since i did it, but I think you go into the main TRS06 folder and there'll be either Assets.tdx or .bku in that folder, which you delete. Then you go into Bin, I think it is, and there will be the other file in there. Delete that as well, then restart the computer. When it's restarted, open CMP and it will rebuild the asset database, and leave it to do this (it could take a while).
When that's done, start Trainz and it should work.

Tbh, if you've been using 06 for a while, I'm very surprised you've not come across that before!

Done that. Now it sAYS:

TETData directory could not be found. Please ensure it is in the same directory as this executable.

I haven't the foggiest then, as I'm no longer using 06.

You're likely to get a better answer in the thread on UKTrainz.

I also had a similar issue. It lets me open Trainz, but crashes and displays that excact message. Thankfully, its only done it a couple of times.
