I'm not sure whether it's Newport, but there used to be a lady working there (it's not the same one, she's long gone), who was very obstructive when asked for help.

As far as I can remember, she seemed to have a bee in her bonnet about travelling from Newport to the North West. She either insisted that everyone had to travel via Birmingham or via Shrewsbury, and didn't like it at all when people wanted to do the opposite.

I don't know the lady who the OP is referring to, as I've always found that the people who work there are very good. I agree, though, that it doesn't reflect well on her.

".

The things I've experienced with her:-

1. Tried to do a switch over of my season ticket to start at Cardiff rather than Newport. Her advice - cancel the season ticket and buy a new one from Cardiff. That would have cost me money.

.

Been meaning to ask for a while, why does anybody need to do this?

There has been a complaint made about the season ticket changeover, but I'm not sure if any of the other issues have been raised with ATW.

There has been a question at the back of my mind about this since I first read it. Could you please explain the context of this posting as I fear that I can read it as breaching at least two confidences?

Surely that is obvious from reading the OP's first post. They state the complaint re. the first issue, but not re. the others.

I'm not trying to get into a dispute.

I can understand your interpretation: The OP lists two issues, the first explicitly states it as raised with ATW who sorted it out; the second makes no reference to being formally raised, or not, with ATW. The next poster asks if issues raised with ATW. The third post answers the second by reference to the original posting but without stating OP as the source of answer.

When I read it I took the third posting as being derived, not from the OP but, from insider knowledge that might come from someone employed by ATW.

I hope that you are right in your surmise and, on balance, I favour your interpretation.

It all goes to show how careful we need to be when posting if we are to avoid misinterpretation.

Regards.

Good points, I had only read it one way! Sorry about that.
