Quick TR on my Club 55 trip.
Tuesday 12th 1206 PAD to Liskeard, I was in the quiet coach First class, all OK.
After a slowish exit from PAD and then a slower train in front on the Berks and Hants we were always around 12 minutes late, I never did see what was in front of us.
The 1206 used to be Pullman dining, it is now Travelling Chef with Omlette, Burger etc not very inspiring.
Arriving at Liskeard I saw my connection for Looe going underneath the GWML, so a 50 minute wait.
On my return journey the 1457 ex Looe was a refurbished 153, very little leg room and the seats seem low to me.
The 1400 ex PNZ was on time throughout the journey, again in quiet coach first class, no trolley from Liskeard until Tiverton Parkway, also the buffet was closed from Liskeard to Newton Abbot.
On this train there is a slower train in front from Newton Abbot which they put into the loop at Dawlish Warren, whilst going along the scenic bit I could see the slower train weaving along the coast in front of us.
Great value for £32 First class return,I didn't reserve a seat so I could pick where I wanted to sit, maybe a bit risky on a Friday, I may go to PNZ in a couple of weeks before the Scillonion shuts down for the winter.

The map shows Manchester -Birmingham as a possibility
This cannot be booked via the online system either via Crewe or Shrewsbury
Looking at their timetables there is one routing a day by atw via Crewe at 00:25 ex Manchester arriving at 05:58. Swizz :)
So how can that journey be done ?
Via shrewbury looks good.

But I can't find a way of booking it.

Can someone advise ?

Last year I used Club 55 to travel on a route which was not normally Permitted, but was available as part of the offer. I found that I was unable to book online, but could obtain a ticket without difficulty at Leeds station.

Many Thanks. That did the trick.

I am planning to take a trip on the Cumbrian Coast line on Saturday and having read this thread, I thought about buying the ticket on line. Using First ScotRail's site I went through all the hoops going from my local station to Carlisle and got to the Club55 fares availability. Every choice for Club55 gave me 'Not available for this journey'. I know that I can get the ticket tomorrow at my local station, and be off with no delay on Saturday, so what's with the on-line purchase? If I didn't know better and believed the 'N/A' statement, I'd be looking at the more expensive choice of Day Return - even discounted with a Senior R/C.
After Carlisle, I'd be using the Cumbria Round Robin - discounted, of course.
