Earlier today, something made me start thinking about items of clothing which aren't really that practical in some of the situations they are worn in. Here's one for a start:
The Flat Cap
Seems to be worn by quite a few rail enthusiasts when it's cold, particularly the older generation. Whilst it may keep the top of your head warm, your ears will still end up cold or frozen! A woolly hat is much more sensible in my view.
Anyone got any more?
