kk here's a good old story a tale of sheer stupidity

well about 5 years ago before i rediscovered the railway's i used to go down to water orton station to have a good old casual fag and a chit chit with some mate's (we wernt the ones who terrorised the place) but yes anyway so we were all just chatting when my mate managed to drop his lucky die (ya know dice) and it rolled onto the line now if you do not know water orton there are three line 1.a fast line from birmingham to derby 2.a bi directional line which has the derby to birmingham and the nuneaton to birmingham line 3.a nuneaton to birmingham line. so two of the three line's next to the platform are the fast line's with a line speed of aboput 90 anyway so my mate dropped his die onto the bi directional line.
so being a lucky die he decided to go get it from the track and even though i protested him not to he did non the less.
so from my knowledge i knew the the bi directional line has a fast line converge onto at the junction which to those standing on that line is a blind spot. so i looked the light which were all at red.
eventually the bi directional line light turned green so i started get impatient and thrown so abusive words of encouragement to get him back up.
now at this point we all know what was going to happen.
all i hear is a horn and to my surprise a voyager come belting round the corner ands from my knowledge i knew it would be seconds till well splat so i ran up to the plat form edge shouted at him as loud and quick as possible and he stupidly ran towards the end of the platform towards the train rathedr than clambering up with my assistance so basically he ran towards the train and the last thing i saw before looking away was the train and my friend with a 2 second distance between them.

naturally i thought he was dead as the driver sounded his horn countinuously but after for Brief period of me screaming and all my friends running over my mate (the stupid one) walked over as white as a sheet and explained that at the last second he got onto the platform slope grabbed onto some drain pipeing and hung on for dear life.

so did i save the day who knows

was he stupid for going down, of course

should i have took more action, your opinion

but i would like to state this was as REAL STORY

Yeah i know that but what i mean is you got plenty of time from when the bobby sets the road to climb up the platform or into the cess.

oh right sorry my mistake but yeah when the signal was set i did say to him that it had set to green so it was likely something would be coming and most chances are it will be flying through but he decided that i didnt know what i was talking about and just carried on looking

We could be asking how much attraction does a dice have that means you'd risk your life to get it back.

I presume they weren't normal "fags"?

There is only one thing I can honestly say about this thread.

Apostrophe Alert!

Emunit: Keep your "mate" away from the railway. If he keeps chancing his arm like this it won't be long before he's nothing more than a messy smear on the front of some poor sod's train.

In addition, just because a signal is red it does not mean that a train isn't coming.

FFS, how much simpler can it be? Unless your job requires it and you're properly trained, certified and equipped, just stay the hell away from the tracks.

yeah i know it doesnt mean i train wont come but it wont be a voyager that gives you little chance of getting away at the last minute.
and my mate stayed away from the railway and recived quite alot of bother from the rest of us at the time btw last thing it was 5 years ago and a knew little about the railways so can we not point out every technical issue involved as i do know it now but didnt then and proper punctuation isnt really needed unless you want to publish this in a book but thanks for everyones comments and replies.

If only the Voyager had been going that little bit faster... one less chav to intimidate the masses with the "normal fags" (believe that you believe anything)...

...plus (possibly) one upset driver & support staff and thousands of angry, delayed passengers.

If you don't know when to use an apostrophe, on a web forum it's generally better not to use one.

ok sorry about that tom, but could you please ask people not to make fun of those who cannot punctuate correctly as there is such a thing as dyslecia and having fun made of me isn't what i come on to this forum for.
