Gosh - that's a marathon!
With the sparse frequencies it must have taken about 2 days to do that journey!

Correct with that last closed station on this leg.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The new leg will be one of my "combination" legs

It starts at the open station of Whitchurch
It follows the line of the Oswestry, Ellesmere and Whitchurch Railway
It then follows the line of the Oswestry and Newtown Railway
It then follows the line of the Mid-Wales Railway
It ends on the Neath and Brecon Railway
It finishes at the open station of Neath

The first closed station is.....

Fenns's Bank

I will advance to Welshampton.

There was a station before that one ......

And Welshman mentioned it in a post 13 minutes before me, hence me going to Welshampton.

A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
And Welshman mentioned it in a post 13 minutes before me, hence me going to Welshampton.

One of my worst cases of "Senior Moment Syndrome" to afflict me recently. My sincere apologies to all concerned....:roll:

Still, I redeemed myself somewhat with Weston Wharf...:D

Wasn't there a dreadful accident at Abermule in the 1920s?
