We next move to Scotland for the next journey.....

This is number 2078 in the series so far,,,,,

The journey starts at the closed station of Polton
It follows the line of the Esk Valley Railway
It then follows the line of the Edinburgh and Hawick Railway...via Dalhousie
It then follows the line of the NBR Kelso Line...via Maxton
It then follows the line of the NER Kelso Branch Line...via Sprouston
It then follows the line of the Newcastle and Berwick Railway...note 1st and 2nd stations
It then follows the line of the North Eastern Railway Main Line...via Bensham
It then follows the line of the Lanchester Valley Railway...via Aldin Grange for Bearpark
It then follows the line of the Stanhope and Tyne Railway...via Consett (1862-1867)
It then follows the line of the NER Leamside Line...via Washington (2nd station)...note 1st and 2nd stations
It then follows the line of the NDJR Durham Branch Line...via Belmont Junction
The line ends at the closed station of Durham (Gilesgate)

The first closed station on this journey is Polton
