Observation

Having already reached Low Moor (1st station), via the shorter of the two routes from Dudley Hill, if you then go to Bowling junction, you will be back-tracking back on the longer of the two routes, heading towards Bowling and to Laisterdyke and I have spent some time and cannot trace a different direct line from Laisterdyke to the next line on this journey...the LYR Spen Valley Line

Sorry to have been away but I have looked at all my source items in my archives, trying to find any line from the earliest days of the railways in that part of Yorkshire that led to a connection between the LYR Spen Valley Line and the area of Laisterdyke , without success.....:(
Humble apologies

Not so....refer to the journey preamble for clarification, with guide notes.

There were two GNR lines from Batley to Ossett and the one in the journey preamble mentions Chickenley Heath, after Batley Carr, which were the two intermediate stations on that line

The other line, which was the one you chose, had Batley Carr, Dewsbury Central and Earlesheaton as the intermediate stations on that line.

I need to get ready for the early morning Wythenshawe Hospital visit to have a 24 hour ambulatory cardiology monitor fitted at 0930 this morning.

UPDATE TO ABOVE

I was then sent over to Stepping Hill Hospital by patient transport as that hospital wanted to carry out an X-ray on my chest and sets of bloods. I was in out patients there for a total of seven hours, then a further four hours in their Discharge Suite waiting for the ambulance to take me home and was so physically spent on my return home, that I took to my bed and did not awake until 05:00 the following morning.
