Bristol St Philips
That was the terminal station of the Bristol and Gloucester Railway whereas we need a through connection that will take us onwards to the Bristol and Exeter Railway.

HINT : On the through line after Fishponds, the next three stations of Bristol Temple Meads, Bedminster and Parson Street are all currently open railway stations.

GENERAL INFORMATION

About eleven years ago on this quiz, there were what was called PM in which a debate was finally resolved of a station on the Bristol and Exeter Railway which opened in 1871 with the name of Ashton (not to be confused with Long Ashton station) and to allow better track positioning, in 1884 the station was resited a very short distance away to the west. That station was renamed Bedminster which is still a currently open railway station, so a decision was agreed that the resiting was such a short distance, no mention of that station is made on this quiz.
