A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
We next move to England for the next journey.....

This is number 1961 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Holmsley
It follows the line of the Southampton and Dorchester Railway
It then follows the line of the Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway...via Bailey Gate
It then follows the line of the MR Bath to Mangotsfield Branch Line...via Bath Green Park...beware of heritage stations on this line
It then follows the line of the MR Bristol and Gloucester Railway...via Mangotsfield (2nd station)
It then follows the line of the Bristol and Exeter Railway...via Long Ashton...note 1st and 2nd stations
It then follows the line of the BER Cheddar Valley Line...via Congresbury
It then follows the line of the East Somerset Railway...via Wells (Priory Road)
It then follows the line of the Wilts, Somerset and Weymouth Railway...via Witham
It then follows the line of the GWR Salisbury Branch Line...via Heytesbury
It then follows the line of the Salisbury and Yeovil Railway...via Wilton South
The journey ends at the closed station of Milborne Port

The first closed station on this journey is Holmsley
