I think it's time to have a "revision test" on the Scottish closed stations that we have visited in different part of Scotland on past journeys, so the next journey will commence in north-east Scotland and end in south-west Scotland.

Bear with me, as typing these journey preambles now takes me "forever and a day" at the age of 80.

We next move to Scotland for the next journey.....

This is number 1958 in the series so far......

The journey starts at the closed station of Aberdeen Guild Street
It follows the line of the Aberdeen Railway
It then follows the line of the North British, Arbroath and Montrose Railway...via Hillside
It then follows the line of the Dundee and Arbroath Railway...via Elliot Junction
It then follows the line of the Dundee and Perth Railway...via Magdalen Green
It then follows the line of the Perth, Almond Valley and Methven Railway...via Ruthven Road
It then follows the line of the Crieff and Methven Junction Railway...via Balgowan
It then follows the line of the Crieff Junction Railway...via Pittenzie Halt
It then follows the line of the Scottish Central Railway...via Crieff Junction (original station site)
It then follows the llne of the Forth and Clyde Junction Railway...via Gargunnock
It then follows the line of the Blane Valley Railway...via Killearn
It then follows the line of the EGR Campsie Branch Line...via Milton of Campsie
It then follows the line of the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway...via Dullatur
It then follows the line of the Caledonian Railway Main Line...via Slateford (1st station)....note 1st and 2nd stations
It then follows the line of the Dumfries, Lochmaben and Lockerbie Railway...via Lochmaben
It then follows the line of the Castle Douglas and Dumfries Railway...via Maxwelltown
It then follows the line of the Portpatrick and Wigtownshire Joint Railway...via Crossmichael
It then follows the line of the Wigtownshire Railway...via Mains of Penninghame
The journey ends at the closed station of Whithorn

The first closed station on this journey is Aberdeen Guild Street
