A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
We next move to England for the next journey.....

This is number 1957 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Birkenhead Monks Ferry
It follows the line of the Chester and Birkenhead Railway
It then follows the line of the Chester and Crewe Railway...via Waverton (2nd station)...note 1st and 2nd stations
It then follows the line of the Crewe and Shrewsbury Railway...via Gresty
It then follows the line of the Oswestry, Ellesmere & Whitchurch Railway...via Fenn's Bank
It then follows the line of the Oswestry and Newtown Railway...via Llynclys
It then follows the line of the Llanidloes and Newtown Railway...via Scafell Halt
It then follows the line of the Mid-Wales Railway...viaTylwch...remember that Tir Celyn Platform is included on this line
It then follows the line of the Hereford, Hay and Brecon Railway...via Glasbury-on-Wye
It then follows the line of the Hereford, Ross and Gloucester Railway...via Holme Lacy
It then follows the line of the Mitcheldean Road & Forest of Dean Junction Railway...via Drybrook Halt
The journey ends at the closed station of Whimsey Halt

The first closed station on this journey is Birkenhead Monks Ferry
