We next move to Wales for the next journey....

This is number 889 in the series so far.....


The journey starts at the closed station of Glasbury-on-Wye
It follows the line of the Hereford, Hay and Brecon Railway
It then follows the line of the Worcester and Hereford Railway
It then follows the line of the Ledbury and Gloucester Railway
It then follows the line of the Bristol and Gloucester Railway
It then follows the line of the Bristol and Exeter Railway...via Weston Junction...note 1st and 2nd stations
It then follows the line of the Exe Valley Railway
It then follows the line of the Devon and Somerset Railway
It then follows the line of the Bideford Extension Railway
It then follows the line of the North Devon and Cornwall Junction Light Railway
It then follows the line of the North Cornwall Railway
The journey ends at the closed station of Padstow

The first closed station on this journey is Glasbury-on-Wye

(I've just realised that there were, "way back when", two Withington stations, serving different Withingtons -- both, of course, now closed -- only thirty-and-a-bit miles apart: this one -- and that on the Midland & South Western Junction line, a little way south of Andoversford.)
