OBSERVATION

Before I set the next leg, I noticed that after Ettingshall Road station on the Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Stour Valley Railway, the next posting was that of Four Ashes station on the Grand Junction Railway.

What I envisaged was after Ettingshall Road, on the same line came Monmore Green, then after the open Wolverhampton station, now on the Grand Junction Railway came Bushbury.....then Four Ashes.

I would be obliged to receive any thoughts you may have on this matter.

Mea maxima culpa, I fear: my knowledge of this area is poor (though it's just down the road from where I live !); plus, perpetrated a bit of cutting corners and neglecting Wiki info, in favour of a certain atlas which not infrequently leads me into trouble; and which -- "bad workmen and their tools", but anyhow -- is confusing and not-too-clear re the Wolverhampton area. Looking at Wiki, I see there very plainly, Monmore Green and Bushbury; but the alternative "authority" seemed to lead temptingly straight through, Ettingshall Rd. -- Wolverhampton (open) -- Four Ashes.

I'm a bad quiz-participant; a spell in the feared Gulag settlement at Ashton-in-Makerfield would probably be no more than I deserve...

Does the Royal Armourments Depot Platform not count then?

I remember that question being asked in 2013 in PM discussions and the decision arrived at was an emphatic NO.

If you look at Rule 12, it might make matters somewhat clearer with regards to any ROF or military stations, which are both shown as exceptions to the accepted station postings.
