I imagine you have more knowledge of this, but I'd think it is a valid posting given this extract from Wikipedia:
It was situated just off London Road, and trains of the Settle-Carlisle Line and the Tyne Valley Line still pass immediately to the south of the site of the former station.

I should have realised that the junction to all the lines were not in the same place having been looking in detail at the track layout around Carlisle recently

Note: I did a bit of research on Carlisle London Road when we came this way a while ago. To quote the post then : "It was the original terminus of the Newcastle and Carlisle and is always shown on an east-facing spur, as the goods station which succeeded it was - so doesn't count in our current journey. However it was also used for a short period by the Lancaster and Carlisle and (for a somewhat longer period) by the Maryport and Carlisle, both of which would have approached it from the west. I do wonder if there were temporary platforms on the N&C main line - it would have made life much easier and they didn't need planning permission in those days!"

Carnforth

Not too sure about this, but appears to have been used before

Carnforth was situated in the area of the lines leading to the Furness and Midland Joint Railway but still is an open station and is not a valid posting submission on this quiz. It was only the "main line" platforms that were closed.
