A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
We next move to Scotland for the next journey.....

This is number 831 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Gullane
It follows the line of the Aberlady, Gullane and North Berwick Railway
It then follows the line of the North British Railway Main Line
It then follows the line of the Newcastle and Berwick Railway...note 1st and 2nd stations
It then follows the line of the Newcastle and Carlisle Railway
It then follows the line of the Derwent Valley Railway (County Durham)
It then follows the line of the Lanchester Valley Railway
It then follows the line of the North Eastern Railway Main Line
It then follows the line of the York and North Midland Railway
It then follows the line of the North Midland Railway...note 1st and 2nd stations
It then follows the line of the Lancashire, Derbyshire and East Coast Railway
It then follows the line of the Great Grimsby and Sheffield Junction Railway
The journey ends at the closed station of Brocklesby

The first closed station on this journey is Gullane

I remember now -- this matter arose in April: I got in something of a twist then, with "phantom stations beginning with B" on this stretch; then (in mitigation, posting latish last night) had plainly forgotten that episode.
