Just a point that I had noticed in 2015 and seen to have forgotten since then....

Wincobank and Meadowhall....The currently open station of Meadowhall was built on the site of this closed station (similar to what occurred when the new station of Liverpool South Parkway was built on the site of the closed station of Allerton).

We next move to Wales for the next journey....

This is number 739 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Dinas Mawddwy
It follows the line of the Mawddwy Railway
It then follows the line of the Newtown and Machynlleth Railway
It then follows the line of the Aberystwyth and Welsh Coast Railway
It then follows the line of the GWR Aberystwyth and Carmarthen Line
It then follows the line of the GWR Abergwili to Ffairfach Branch Line
It then follows the line of the Vale of Towy Railway
It then follows the line of the Central Wales Extension Railway...link line only, no closed stations
It then follows the line of the Mid-Wales Railway...via the connecting chord near to Builth Road
It then follows the line of the Llanidloes and Newtown Railway
It then follows the line of the Oswestry and Newtown Railway
It then follows the line of the Potteries, Shrewsbury and North Wales Railway
It then follows the line of the PS&NWR Criggion Branch Line
The journey ends at the closed station of Criggion

The first closed station on this journey is Dinas Mawddwy
