An interesting line - I might see if I can buy the book. The way I read the Wikipedia entry, the stations were only used by workmen's trains. The connection between the GWR Mountain Branch (which we traversed to get to Cross Hands) and the Llanelly & Mynydd Mawr seems only to have existed for a brief period - I can't find a map showing any track on it!

Dewicks Complete Atlas shows Dynant Halt was located between Tumble & Cwmbland, or perhaps this may be another of those situations often found in South Wales of the platform actually being located on a siding into the colliery rather than serving the main running line?

It then follows the line of the Caledonian Railway Main Line
It then follows the line of the MR Settle to Carlisle
It then follows the line of the "Little" North Western Railway
It then follows the line of the Lancaster and Preston Junction Railway
It then follows the line of the North Union Railway
It then follows the line of the Bolton and Preston Railway
It then follows the line of the Manchester and Bolton Railway
It then follows the line of the Manchester and Leeds Railway
It then follows the line of the LYR Rochdale to Bacup Line
It then follows the line of the ELR Bacup to Ramsbottom Line
It then follows the line of the LYR Ramsbottom to Bury Line...link line only, no closed stations
It then follows the line of the Liverpool and Bury Railway
It then follows the line of the LYR Skelmersdale Branch Line
It then follows the line of the Liverpool, Ormskirk and Preston Railway
It then follows the line of the Preston and Blackburn Railway
The journey ends at the closed station of Haughton Tower

The first closed station on this journey is Castle Douglas
