We next move to Scotland for the next journey.....

This is number 659 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of High Blantyre
It follows the line of the Hamilton and Strathaven Railway
It then follows the line of the Darvel and Strathaven Railway
It then follows the line of the Darvel Branch Line
It then follows the line of the Kilmarnock and Troon Railway
It then follows the line of the Glasgow, Barrhead and Kilmarnock Joint Railway
It then follows the line of the City of Glasgow Union Railway
It then follows the line of the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway....via the Gogar loop line
It then follows the line of the Edinburgh and Hawick Railway
It then follows the line of the Edinburgh, Loanhead and Roslin Railway
The journey ends at the closed station of Glencorse

The first closed station on this journey is High Blantyre

Sorry to say, but whilst there indeed was a Barlieth station on the Darvel branch line, it then led off from there to the Glasgow, Paisley, Kilmarnock and Ayr Railway, which is not on this particular journey. After passing through Galston station, but before Barleith station was reached, there was a junction that took the line towards the next line on this quiz.....The Kilmarnock and Troon railway. On that line, there was one closed station, then a link line that went into Kilmarnock, where the Glasgow, Barrhead and Kilmarnock Joint Railway commenced.
