A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
We next move to England for the next journey.....

This is number 544 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Middleton-in-Teesdale
It follows the line of the Tees Valley Railway
It then follows the line of the South Durham & Lancashire Union Railway
It then follows the line of the Bishop Auckland to Durham Line
It then follows the line of North Eastern Railway Main Line
It then follows the line of the Leeds and Northallerton Railway
It then follows the line of the Harrogate to Church Fenton Line
It then follows the line of the York and North Midland Railway
It then follows the line of the North Midland Railway
It then follows the line of the Lancashire, Derbyshire and East Coast Railway
It then follows the line of the Lincolnshire Loop Line...As far as Boston
It then follows the line of the East Lincolnshire Railway
It then follows the line of the GCR Grimsby District Light Railway...including the Ulceby loop line
It then follows the line of the Great Grimsby and Sheffield Junction Railway Grimsby to New Holland Line
The journey ends at the closed station of New Holland Pier

The first closed station on this journey is Middleton-in-Teesdale
