A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
Heaton Norris

Two closed stations to be noted.....

Prior to Heaton Norris, after leaving the junction station of Droylsden, you would have called at Audenshaw LNWR which opened in 1888 and closed in 1905.

Immediately after Heaton Norris, you would have called at Cheadle Hulme (1st station....1842-1845)

Poynton (Midway) was a good find. It isn't mentioned in the Wikipedia "List of Closed Stations" or anywhere else that I can see except Wignall's Gazetteer where it is called "Poynton 1st". It is shown as "Midway Station" on the 1882 OS map.

For interest - on the 1873 OS map, Macclesfield Central station (still open so it doesn't count) is called "Waters Station".
