If it is Welshpool than I query it.
The first station was actually alongside the present station on a different track alignment..

Agreed, but it is one that the quiz gave an exemption for some years ago and as such, has been used as an acceptable posting submission since then, even allowing for the normal strictures appertaining to Rule 4..

We next move to England for the next journey.....

This is number 532 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Selsdon
It follows the line of the Oxted line
It then follows the line of the East Grinstead to Lewes Line
It then follows the line of the Wealden Line
It then follows the line of the Three Bridges to Tunbridge Wells Central Line
It then follows the line of the Arun Valley Line
It then follows the line of the Midhurst Railways...via Selham and via Lavant
It then follows the line of the West Coastway Line
It then follows the line of the East Coastway Line
It then follows the line of the Hastings to Ashford Line
It then follows the line of the Dungeness Branch Line
The journey ends at the closed station of Dungeness

The first closed station on this journey is Selsdon

Would we then go onto

Holywell Waterworks?

Further research reveals that the following four stations have had involvement with the heritage Bluebell Railway and then were subsequently closed by them, so are not therefore allowed as posting submissions under the terms applicable to Rule 3:-

Bluebell Halt
Holywell (Waterworks)
Freshfield Halt
Ketches Halt.
