Although Wikipedia shows the connection from the Pontcysyllte Branch trailing into the Ruabon & Barmouth Line prior to Trevor station, the OS maps show clearly that it joined via a connection through the goods yard west of the station.

Glad to see that using that particular Pontcysllte branch line, those with maps have found the connection you did.

All makes for a little extra interest.

Fair enough - I didn't pick that up. However on further investigation I note that the station only moved by 150 yd or so, so I think I would have assumed it was excluded under Rule 4.

Originally, both 1st stations of Prestatyn and of Llandudno Junction on the Chester and Holyhead Railway were indeed not only once embargoed, but also shown as examples of such in the specific rules section, but after a number of requests from two people who were once regular contestants but had to withdraw on grounds of ill health, I accepted that in the case of those two particular stations, posting submissions naming either of those two stations were to be regarded as acceptable. The mention in the rules section was then deleted.

Have a look at the wording of Rule 5 and also at the Guide Note section under the rules,
