Seaham Harbour (on a loop, but the original railway went that way)

I did wonder about Pelaw, but I'm unable to determine its validity.

Paul will correct me if I am wrong, but from what I can see on the maps, Pelaw 2nd station (1857 to 1896) could be quoted. It was about 300 yd east of the current Metro station (opened in 1985), which is on or very near the site of the 1st station (1843 - 1857) and the 3rd station (1896 - 1979)

Extract from the Quiz Rules

(Rule 8) ....Any station either opened or closed after the termination of its use as a heavy rail station by any rail transport organisation such as the Manchester Metrolink system, the Midland Metro system and the Tyne and Wear Metro is also NOT allowed to be used as a valid posting entry on this quiz.

In answer to the queries raised upon closed heavy rail stations that now form part of the Tyne and Wear Metro system, it is to be taken that once any named former heavy rail station (such as that of Pelaw) has been converted to the Tyne and Wear Metro, ALL such former entities of that station (including those on different sites) are NOT allowed to be used on this quiz.

I am sorry if this seems harsh, but I feel the collective is better for such a simplification.

I think we missed Billingham 1st station (1851 - 1966) which was located nearly a mile west of the current station, between Greatham and Norton on Tees.
