I think that you will find that Lofthouse and Outwood was situated in-between Ardsley station and Stanley station. (Have a look at the brief article on Lofthouse and Outwood railway station on Wikipedia).

A quick check of the maps suggests that Lofthouse and Outwood station was situated at the southern apex of the triangular junction at Lofthouse - therefore we could travel from Ardsley to Stanley via the north to east chord without calling there. The Wikipedia article is, I think, misleading.

Cancel the above - further review suggests I am wrong and that there was another station called Lofthouse and Outwood on the MJR - but if it was in existence from 1858 to 1960 why can't I find it on a map??

Yes Iam still confused as I can't find any references maps or otherwise that show the existence of platforms on that North to East section of the triangular junction.
