We next move to Wales for the next journey.....

This is number 502 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Trevor
It follows the line of the GWR Trevor to Legacy Branch Line
It then follows the line of the Ponciau Branch Line
It then follows the line of the GWR Shrewsbury to Chester Line
It then follows the line of the Chester and Holyhead Railway
It then follows the line of the Chester and Crewe Railway
It then follows the line of the Whitchurch and Tattenhall Railway
It then follows the line of the Oswestry, Ellesmere and Whitchurch Railway
It then follows the line of the Oswestry and Newtown Railway
It then follows the line of the Llanidloes and Newtown Railway
It then follows the line of the Mid-Wales Railway
It then follows the line of the Brecon and Merthyr Junction Railway
It then follows the line of the B&MJR Machen to Caerphilly Branch Line
It then follows the line of the Pontypridd, Caerphilly and Newport Railway
It then follows the line of the Taff Vale Railway Ynysybwl Branch Line
The journey ends at the closed station of Old Ynysybwl Halt

The first closed station on this journey is Trevor

I think we were on the right road up to Legacy, apart from omitting Brook Street Halt twixt Pant Halt and Rhos. At Legacy we take to the Ponciau Branch Line (aka the Ponkey Branch in its anglicized form ;)) to join the Shrewsbury to Chester Line at Ruabon.


(I wouldn't bet my pension on it though! :lol:)
