I put this forward a bit tentatively because I am not sure that it had a platform on the down line. Anyway, nothing ventured ....

Sorry - this should have come before Hessay but by time I had checked up on it I had been left behind! I will leave it there to see whether it's valid.

That station comes much later on in the quiz, when we access the line of the York and North Midland Railway (see the preamble).

We have just accessed the line of the East and West Yorkshire Junction Railway and we need a station to follow on from Hessay.

There was at one time a direct connection between the PB&K and Thirsk and Malton railways which crossed the ECML on a bridge and avoided Pilmoor altogether. It wasn't there in 1867 and is shown as an abandoned formation on the 1892 OS map so doesn't seem to have been in use for very long.
