I didn't know that. However having had a look at the 1875 map it doesn't look as though the old station was more than 100m from the new one so I would have thought Rule 4 would apply.

Extract from the rules effective from September 2016

Rule 4
Stations that were closed and had their replacement station built in nearby proximity are NOT allowed as a valid posting entry on this quiz (examples being that of the situation of the first station sites at Whifflet, Belper, Stourbridge Junction, Blue Pits (Castleton, Manchester),Tollerton and Church Stretton). Where a doubt exists as to the knowledge of an actual distance that existed between the two station sites in such a situation, it is hereby decreed that it is better to err on the side of caution and NOT to use it as a posting submission (The example of the situation existing at Whifflet (both the 1st station and the Low Level one) being a good example to cite here).

There appears to be some query as to what exactly constitutes "in nearby proximity". I had hoped the examples that I had quoted may have be used to give the type of distance that was intended.

With regards to both the FIRST stations on the Chester and Holyhead railway at Llandudno Junction and at Prestatyn, can I hark back to 2015 when it was deemed that both these two first stations were acceptable to be used on this quiz.
