Noting the very large numbers numbers of relocations that are actually covered by Rule 5 that have so occurred and indeed have been made the subject of a recent thread on this website, it is up to contestants to make a decision as to whether they wish to make such a posting or not.

It may be an opportune time to note the above.

Although the WSR now has a station with the same name which is only about 1/4 mile away, it is on a different alignment and serves a different purpose. So I think the old station can be claimed

We next move to England for the next leg of this journey.....

This is number 462 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Longridge
It follows the line of the Preston and Longridge Railway
It then follows the line of the West Lancashire Railway
It then follows the line of the Manchester and Southport Railway
It then follows the line of the Manchester and Leeds Railway
It then follows the line of the Ashton, Stalybridge and Liverpool Railway
It then follows the line of the Micklehurst Loop Line
It then follows the line of the Huddersfield and Manchester Railway
It then follows the line of the LNWR Huddersfield to Leeds Line...link line only, no closed stations
It then follows the line of the LNWR Kirkburton branch line
The journey ends at the closed station of Kirkburton

The first closed station on this journey is Longridge

No doubt I shall fall over Rule 4 again!

Despite appearances on some maps, I don't think Maudland Bridge is on our route.
