You learn all sorts of things playing this game. I had no idea that the GWR started to build a Dawlish avoiding line in spring 1939.

We next move to Scotland for the next journey.....

This is number 455 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Jamestown
It follows the line of the Forth and Clyde Junction Railway
It then follows the line of the Scottish Central Railway
It then follows the line of the Caledonian Railway Main Line
It then follows the line of the MR Settle to Carlisle Line
It then follows the line of the "Little" North Western Railway
It then follows the line of the Lancaster and Preston Junction Railway
It then follows the line of the Ormskirk Branch Line
It then follows the line of the Skelmersdale Branch Line
It then follows the line of the St Helens & Runcorn Gap Railway
It then follows the line of the Canada Dock Branch Line
It then follows the line of the Liverpool, Crosby and Southport Railway.
The journey ends at the closed station of Southport Eastbank Street

The first closed station on this journey is Jamestown
