Hatfield Hyde

I believe there's a station by the name of Attimore Hall Halt betwixt Hatfield Hyde and Ayot...

(I think there's also a Welwyn Garden City Halt and a Welwyn Junction too, but I'm not certain)

However, moving on...

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Disused Stations website has quite a long article concerning Welwyn Garden City Halt, which also makes mention of Welwyn Junction station. It makes quite interesting reading and there are the usual accompanying photographic images and maps

The Disused Stations website also has an article on Welwyn Junction station. That states this was a short-lived station that opened on 1st January 1858 and closed on 1st September 1860. Many years after that closure, a workman's platform was built there before 1920 as a result of the construction work being carried out in that area, but that was closed soon after 1923.

Buntingford is the final closed station on this journey.

I now need time to select a suitable journey to set for the next one
