Between Shap and Tebay was
Shap Summit Halt (1923-1958)

Information

Rule 11 of the quiz rules out the use of that halt as it was a staff halt for the use of railway employees only.

Hogton Tower

Rishton (1st site)

No mention was made on the preamble about using the loop line on this journey as we divert off at Accrington which precluded its use.

HELPFUL HINT.....

We have now accessed the line of the ELR Accrington to Bury Line

PS - Bit confused. If Hoghton was right then surely Hoghton Tower must be as well.

PPS - also there seems to have been an Gregson Lane Halt (closed 1946) between Bamber Bridge and Hoghton. Sorry, just catching up after being away.

Radcliffe Black Lane

Because there is no direct line (as far as I am aware) between Bury Bolton Street and Radcliffe Black Lane, the normal thing to do would have to gone from Bury Bolton Street to access the line of the Liverpool and Bury Railway and reversed at.....
Bury Knowsley Street
