Now here there seems to be conflicting information. The first station in Harrogate - Brunswick - doesn't count since it was on a short branch off the later through line we are following. Railscot makes reference to a station called Oatlands, but gives no further information and I can find nothing either online nor in my reference book. Wiki says the next station was at Crimple. Although this is not mentioned in my reference book either, the Disused Stations website does seem to back this up. So I shall risk the possible controversy, and say:

(But how did passengers access the station at Crimple? There are no roads of any type anywhere near it - did people have to hike across the fields? :shock:)
