It then follows the line of the Chester and Holyhead Railway
It then follows the line of the Conwy Valley Line
It then follows the line of the Bala and Ffestiniog Railway
It then follows the line of the GWR Ruabon to Barmouth Line
It then follows the line of the Acrefair to Rhosllanerchrugog Branch Line
It then follows the line of the Wrexham to Rhosllanerchrugog Branch Line
It then follows the line of the Shrewsbury to Chester Line
It then follows the line of the Shrewsbury and Birmingham Railway
It then follows the line of the Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton Railway
The journey ends at the closed station of Astwood Halt

(Although I might be wrong on this as I'm unsure of its exact location - only that it was further west than the present station. I'm assuming, however, that there must have been platforms on the main line as well as the Llandudno branch in order for the station to carry the suffix 'Junction.')

There was the station of Conway Marsh (open 1895 and closed 1929) that was the next closed station after that of Aber.

The actual distance away of the original station to the later and current site, according to what a Welsh contact told me some time ago is one that would not qualify and as such, the existing station site is the only one recognised upon this quiz.

In response to recent PM received, the matter of the more learned railway station knowledge of railway stations where different sites were involved, it is hereby agreed that postings with the knowledge of such matters that state for example, both locations of closed railway stations at Waverton on the Crewe and Chester Railway, will be allowed. Howsoever, it is NOT essential that any such location be taken to be an essential part of this quiz.
