When the Formartine and Buchan Railway joined the Great North of Scotland Railway Main Line, the first station encountered on the main line was the open station of Dyce.

My records show that the first closed station after passing Dyce on the line to the Aberdeen area was that of Stoneywood

Aha! I have finally tracked down Stoneywood; even a Google search for the station threw up nothing - most peculiar. There also seems to be a difference of opinion as to the spelling of Buxburn/Bucksburn.
