I will have to give your two alternative suggestions (both of which were closed in 1962) some thought but I had assumed that the next named station would have been a station prior to the one that is a junction station that took us on to the Hereford, Hay and Brecon Railway

It would appear that in the late 1940s Hereford trains normally ran non-stop through Groessfordd, but they did stop at Talyllyn and (usually by request to the station master at Talyllyn and only if travelling to Glasbury or beyond) at Llangorse Lake, where we are now awaiting another move.
