Tintern Abbey then? Cries of tiz.

The matter of the railway station at Tintern was considered during the planning of this quiz as it has been used as a Countryside Visitor Centre since 1975. It actually has won the Gold Award at the Royal Welsh Show for "The best tea room in Wales".

I felt that all this being so, it could fall under the "Heritage" banner.

Chepstow East very briefly

There's no track, no trains at Tintern. That would mean that any closed station house that's been restored by the owner would be heritage

Both the railway station building and the nearby signal box have been fully restored. I think that it was a somewhat difficult decision to ponder at the time when I was drawing up this quiz just over a year ago.

However, as a result of your posting, I will now reclassify it back to closed station status. Incidentally, can you be so kind as to let me know when the station carried the name of Tintern Abbey, as my researches have not found the time period when this was so ?

Undy Halt

The station is Tintern, agreed

The Abbey - tiz was a reference to an old and not very good joke
