I am unsure of the current position of Glan Llyn Halt on the Bala Lake Railway section of this line, as there has been much work done on there over the last two years.

I've always thought "Y"s are pronounced as "u"s, so it's Union Halt.
Just as the next station is pronounced "Bont Newuth"
[But don't quote me on that!]

A very old map, one of the oldest ones in my collection, shows what I took to be a south-facing curve from the Newtown and Machynlleth Railway which may well have been used to negate the need for reversal at Moat Lane Junction.
