I know that once again there would be confusion once the Launceston and Plymouth line was mentioned !!

Let me answer your posting of Egloskerry first...this is situated upon the LSWR line, but you also have to take into account what it said in the preamble about the line after this being the GWR Plymouth to Penzance line, so you unfortunately have chosen the wrong line.

Launceston had two stations that were adjacent to each other. One belonging to the GWR and the other belonging to the LSWR. The former GWR one closed in 1952 and all services were transferred to the former LSWR station, until this too was closed. The nearest two open heavy rail stations to Launceston now are Gunnislake and Liskeard. The heritage railway, Launceston Steam Railway has its working station on a different site and its gauge is only 1ft 11 1/2 ", so that cannot count.

So Launceston must count as a closed station, both as per the rules of the quiz and in the spirit that we use to make our contributions. Therefore to establish the EXACT route of the line that we are following, after Launceston, the next closed station is....
